Cannot save ACF fields in Gutenberg editor #117

Steps to reproduce

  • Edit post
  • Set magazine
  • Save
  • Observe no change on website

TBC: Works on vagrant/dev install but not server

Other information

Switching to the classic editor makes this work.

It would be interesting to see if this works on ACF 5.7.x (non-beta version).

Reports indicate that updating wordpress may fix this? But that wouldn't explain why dev works.

Seems to be fixed by changing the positioning.

An issue doesn't seem to be open on the ACF repo, which probably should be.

Issue is not present in ACF v5.8.9-beta2

Currently using ACF v5.8.9-beta2 but should consider updating wordpress to ~v5 based of suggestion that beta3 works on that version of wordpress.

There is now a release candidate that should be tested to see if it will work.

The pro installer being used cannot be used to install alpha/beta/release candidates. However there are pull requests open that would enable the functionality.
