10th anniversary event #6
Comments
I love the idea of having as many communities as possible join in on this celebration! The only thing is that I don't think getting them to organize something for the same week will be that feasible...especially seeing as how June is just over a month away. What if we did a Bridge Foundry Month though so that we have a full month to celebrate? (But also, Boston just so happens to have a workshop at the end of June, so it'd work out pretty well to count towards this. 😉) |
I like it! @sarahmei and I talked about the idea April 18th or April 19th, then @boscomonkey made us Meetup organizers on the 20th at Mark Caranza's hackathon, where I also met @austinfromboston -- so we're already into 10th anniversary territory... The London event could be part of it too! |
10 years is here! I immediately thought of the personal and professional growth of our students and volunteers. Brings a big smile to my face 😄 |
RailsBridge Boston event: https://events.eventzilla.net/e/railsbridge-june-2019-2138743173 Turns out that RailsBridge Triangle also has a workshop this month! And a ScalaBridge and ElmBridge according to https://www.bridgetroll.org. :) |
FYI blog post about London event -- https://bridgefoundry.org/2019/06/21/london-bridges |
The first RailsBridge workshop was June 19th, 2009. We should do something for 10th anniversary.
We likely need longer lead time for big gathering .
New idea (via brainstorm with Bill Kennedy of GoBridge)....
Bridge Foundry Month -- communities all over the world host events on weekend before/after or during the week. They could be full workshops, organizers/students sharing their experience, tech talks or open source pairing events.
