How do we fairly add board members who some of us know well, as well as, people who are new to our organization?

Proposal:

typically people would serve on a board committee for at least three months and attend some board meetings
some kind of option for board to agree to shorten the process, as long as the new board members has interviewed with a majority of current board members and officers, ideally having some experience volunteering with Bridge Foundry in some capacity
