Color coding notes

Is there a way to color-code notes? My kid has been learning to play from color coded piano book, it's much easier to explain to him "now press red" than "press the C"

Thats just a bad habit and yes, using differnt layers produces difernt colors

you can, but you'll probably need to modify the midi so that one specific note is on a different layer and change the colour by opening the midi through file > practice using custom settings
