Problems

• Few indexers available for Ordinals / BRC20, gated access
• There are no APIs for building / publishing inscriptions
• Lack of dev documentation on BRC-20 @danielsimao
• Limited amount of functional expose from existing ordinal wallets (most advanced is Unisat) @danielsimao
• Users have to trust services to create the ordinals/brc20 for them and send @danielsimao
• Complications in grokking taproot internals, Ordinal commit / reveal scheme

Things we liked

• UniSat wallet is easy to interact with, similar to MetaMask

Statements

There are no APIs for building / publishing inscriptions

There a hand-full of apis that can be consumed but most are pointed to btc mainet. The ones that have testnet expose are either to be opened to public or close-sourced. Leaving us with only 2 options: (1) develop in maintet or (2) run our own indexer.

The are 2 projects that might soon expose a testnet api:

• unitsat (https://docs.unisat.io/dev/open-api#endpoint-urls): this api docs are outdated.
• hiro (Feature request: Add explorer/API for bitcoin testnet ordinals hirosystems/ordinals-api#133 (comment))
