Further test results:

  • after starting Gonzo, file types can be linked to Gonzo
  • so that these links work, Gonzo is restarted
  • at the following start GEOS runs in GLOBAL_HEAP_IS_CONGESTED_SO_THREAD_IS_SLEEPING

From this I conclude that there is no connection with the implementation of the GEN_IN_REGION handler. We need to further reduce the resource requirements of the driver.
