After it was done it came back to the client.. but the client came back and the command walletpasshrasechange was there again.. I can't backspace or anything.. I hit enter again and after a while it became apparent the client was frozen.
Force closed the client.
Reopened and unlocked wallet with no apparent issue. Then attempted to send a transaction and get this error:
18 aes_exception: AES error
error during aes 256 cbc decrypt final
{"s":"error:06065064:digital envelope routines:EVP_DecryptFinal_ex:bad decrypt"}
th_a aes.cpp:263 aes_decrypt
I tried recompiling and rescanning but no help. I had updated from 0.9.1 to 0.9.2 and the issue still existed.
I finally gave up and restored my wallet from an older version and all ok after that the error was gone.
Running on Ubuntu 14.04 with bts client 0.9.1 and after upgrading to 0.9.2 problem still existed.

I attempted to run walletpassphrasechange
It did a backup and completed the change.
