We're bootstrapping Linked Data resources to support encoding RDF out of netCDF. Part of this is establishing well-known LD resources for ACDD, CF terms, and NUG terms. These are located at https://def.scitools.org.uk/ as separate registers.

There are numerous other conventions out there being used. This issue is about scaling this out.

A proposal is to create a master register of nc conventions with links to each register containing the LD terms used in the conventions. This master register would mint a URI for each conventions so it can be dereferenced. It would also include links to source documentation and owner information, so people can trace back to the source doco. The master register would allow people to submit, update, deprecate entries to support the broader netCDF community.

I've created a first cut here: http://registry.it.csiro.au/sandbox/ncld/conventions

Using rdfs:seeAlso to link from the convention register item to the register containing the LD resources for the conventions, i.e. ACDD at https://def.scitools.org.uk/ACDD

Using rdfs:isDefinedBy to link from the convention register item to a landing page for where the convention comes from.
