VOWL defines a specific grammar where colors, shapes, styles map to particular OWL constructs, whereas kgviz is designed to allow for your own mappings
VOWL has no behavior for someValuesFrom, whereas this is a key part of biological KGs, we treat A sub R some B as edges

overall VOWL is geared towards OWL experts rather than domain experts

One possibility is to define a vowl.json stylesheet
