the indra "faucet" abstraction is built on Pusher (though any streaming service will do).

the pusher-specific implementation is:

var faucet = new PusherClient([pusher API key]
    , {encrypted: true}).subscribe('everything')

but, a simpler, indra-specific API could be,

var faucet = new IndraFaucet([pusher API key])

it could be worth making a module for this.
