Steps to reproduce

In the group selection, select two groups.

What do you expect to happen?

Both groups are selected. (This worked until recently.)

What happens instead?

Selecting the second group unselects the first. I seem to be no longer able to select two groups to be displayed at once.

Thanks for your report, this is intended behaviour after our latest update. We figured it would simplify the user experience by just having one group selected at a time. I'm wondering what the use case is to have multiple groups selected at the same time? Would it be possible to just add those entries to (another) group?

I just wanted to say thank you to the Aegis dev team. The manageability and customizability features are second to none. I have been using the app for several years now and haven't looked back. In fact, life before Aegis was just sad.

In my use case, I have my groups set up by function. However, prior to the update I would multi-select several of the groups (e.g. most common daily used groups) and hide infrequently used groups. Having it set up this way meant that I could at a glance access my most used codes without unnecessary keypresses. This is especially useful when logging into multiple services within a short period of time.

If the multi-select feature can be added back I am totally in favor of this and would appreciate it greatly. From my perspective, the previous functionality was already a simple user experience. Now it's just cumbersome.

That's an amazing level of responsiveness. Thank you for the impetus to finally donate to this amazing project.

Totally agree. This is the case here too, I have a lot of codes related to different projects and different customers, and I usually have a common group selected with codes I need all the time, plus one or more other groups depending on what I'm working on at that day.

So if this feature could be reenabled, it would be amazing!

While we are at it: The one thing that was always a bit frustrating was how cumbersome it was to add a new code at a desired spot in the list, because it was not possible to move codes while group filters were on (I guess it's because it would be unclear what the order in the overall list should be - but you could just do something like "set global order so it immediately follows the code that precedes it while it was moved with the group filter was on"). Also it always felt a bit flimsy to move codes from the bottom of a long list because it would often happen to me that the moving sorta aborted in the middle when I had moved my finger too far and then the code was somewhere in the middle of the list and I had to find it again. Having these two things fixed would - for me, at least - greatly improve the user experience!

Suggestion: Allow long-press to select additional group without deselecting the previous one. An advanced user will probably try long-pressing it anyway - I think...

And/or setting to choose whether this behavior is the default or reversed...
