Switching layout with borderless monocle

Switching the layout between monocle and tiled with borderless monocle freezes the desktop. I have to switch to another desktop and come back to unfreeze it.

How to reproduce it.

Open some windows in the tiled layout. In xterm

bspc config borderless_monocle true
bspc desktop -l next
# now try up arrow to run the same command `bspc desktop -l next`

A workaround is not using borderless_monocle.
