Mouse input freezes on games like minecraft

For me it's basically impossible to play minecraft on bspwm due to the fact that my mouse input randomly freezes whenever I move my mouse quickly or left click. I know it's not an issue with the mouse since it doesn't freeze at all outside of minecraft. Is there anything I could do?

If the mouse doesn't freeze outside of using minecraft, this issue sounds like a minecraft issue.

I think it is partially. I'm guessing it doesn't capture the mouse properly. The thing is that it works properly on other WMs so I'm not sure what's up with that.
