state / last seen after power loss

I have a client (v. 0.26, but also tried with 0.29) installed on a raspberry pi.
Everything works fine as long as the device runs.

The control client (android, home assistant) shows the client online and removes it/updates the last seen info when the snapclient process is stopped/started.
But I noticed that when power is lost (i.e. removing the supply) the client stays in the list and "last seen" stays "online" which is obviously wrong.

It also seems to have some effects when it comes back on where the first play command fails but starting from the second it works again. I wasn't able to reproduce that consistently thought.

Is that expected behavior? Could I be doing something wrong?
I have tried with music assistant on home assistant but also with a dedicated server v.0.29.
