With a multiroom setup I rarely want all rooms to be streaming simultaneously but rather have 2 maybe 3 rooms in sync.
e.g. I'm in the living room listening to music and then go to the kitchen to grab something to eat.
In that case I would want the music to also play in the kitchen until I'm back.
Right now I solve this by remotely launching a snapclient instance in one (or more) of the satellites in their respective rooms.
When done, I kill the process(es).
This only works on unix systems though.
How could I achieve this on an Android device for example?
I would love to replace most/all of the rpi's with cheap Fire tables as that would give me a screen to use for Home Assistant for example.
If I got this right, there is currently no way to have a snapclient connected but not streaming through a "pause" feature right?
