Hi, we have a few (mostly minor) fixes to the jj2000 code base. It would be
nice if there was a community supported version of that.

Is this project still intending to be that, or is there another place that
supersedes this?

Hi, I'm looking for the same thing.

I know that JAI-imageio has a modified version of jj2000 (under BSD license),
but JAI doesn't seem to get much attention either these days. I'm thinking
about forking one of these, if possible.

If anyone's interested, please send me a message (harald dot kuhr at gmail
etc). John: I'd love to see your fixes.

Same question here. Did either of you get a response from the maintainer of
this project?

No, haven't heard anything from, so I assume the answer is no.

Looks like this was used by a research group that no longer exists:

Well, unless we hear that this is being maintained here (or elsewhere as its
own project), we're supporting (as best we can) a copy here:
https://github.com/Unidata/jj2000

We'd be happy to take any fixes that the rest of the community of jj2000 users
has.
