I have the same issue and I can't figure out the solution, have you managed to fix this?

Hello,

This was due to using an older Python runtime (3.6). You can try with the new version from this repository. cfn-nag integration should work, still porting new [cfn-guard](https://github.com/aws-samples/cfn-security-scan-integration/issues/20.
