Stopping acquisition sometimes times out #1

When manually starting and then stopping acquisition the following is the normal diagnostic output:

Start Capture pressed

exposure time 0.008003
minX: 0.000000
sizeX: 4432.000000
minY: 0.000000
sizeY: 2368.000000
binX: 1.000000
Start Capture
Stop Capture pressed
Stop Capture

However, sometimes this is observed instead:

Start Capture pressed

exposure time 0.008003
minX: 0.000000
sizeX: 4432.000000
minY: 0.000000
sizeY: 2368.000000
binX: 1.000000
Start Capture
Stop Capture pressed
FAILED: (DCAMERR)0x80000106 Process Timeout! @ dcamwait_start()
Stop Capture

Why does it sometimes time out?
