Hi there 👋

I am looking for a maintainer to take over this project. I am no longer working with projects that uses the collectstatic framework and therefor can't be as invested as a maintainer of this project should preferably be.

Please get in contact if you are willing to take over.

Hello, @antonagestam .
I've been using this project well, and I don't want it to be deprecated. If other maintainers don't contact you, I'll gladly maintain this project.

@mode9 I'd be happy to bring you on as a contributor to start with.

A somewhat pressing issue is this, that needs to be fixed in order to have a passing test suite moving forward: #216

@antonagestam
This issue is interesting. I'd love to help with it. Before I get into it, I'm wondering why every test inherits TestCase. It makes tests complicated in my opinion.

@antonagestam That's just for legacy reasons, the project didn't use pytest initially. It should be possible to get rid of that. If you feel like giving an attempt, it probably makes sense to do in a separate PR from addressing the issue I linked though 🙂

Hello, @mode9 and @antonagestam
I would like to support this project, but not as the main maintainer. I can act as secondary maintainer under the direction of @mode9.

@renatodamas Cool, let me know if I can shed light on anything.

I will remain as maintainer until I feel confident enough with a contributor that consistently shows dedication.

@antonagestam sounds like you've got enough folks to help, but one option if there's not enough support here could be to move the project to jazzband and allow a wider range of people to pick it up.

@thclark I don't think Jazzband is an option until the project is in a better state wrt to tests. Yes, people have communicated that they're willing to help here, but so far there's been zero movement towards bringing this project to an independently testable state again.
