chouseknecht wants to release a 0.9.3
- No opposition - j00bar and tima in favor
-
tima asks about 1.0 release timeline ballpark
- chouseknecht says it depends on prebaked conductors branch, which requires ryansb to answer. ryansb is at AWS conference in NYC.
-
No buildah engine update, as ttomacek is absent
-
marc-sensenich has submitted a PR for multi-container pods
- Proposal here: https://github.com/ansible/ansible-container/pull/639/files
- TL;DR is that an additional layer of grouping lets you specify multiple containers in a service
- The format is backward compatible and results in pod organization in k8s/openshift, but only results in a change to the container naming rubric in docker
- j00bar is +1 on the proposal and +1 on the k8s-centric implementation - if a Docker guru appears and wishes to enrich the Docker engine implementation, they'd be most welcome. We don't have that expertise.
- chouseknecht moves to approve the proposal. j00bar 2nds. chouseknecht, tima, and j00bar.
-
Ansible core modules
- chouseknecht is concerned that the k8s modules for Ansible need a maintainer.
- j00bar will follow up with gregdek and jdetiber to find out if the OpenShift team will take ownership of them.
-
tima wants to make sure we get a proposal into KubeCon
- j00bar commits to doing one.
