Please set the repo to public so it's visible to contributors outside of Ansible org. and our future work is visible to the outside as well.

Definitely plan to make the repo public.
Need to cleanup any references, icons, branding that is not approved before we can make it public.

@cybette has helped with reviewing what's needed to be done to make a repo public from an OSS & legal point.

Hi! Here are some things I can think of (I should make a proper doc at some point 😅 )

  • check with RH legal (let me know if you need a contact) to make sure IP, appropriate license, export compliance and other policies have been considered
  • code audit to make sure there's no private info e.g. customer details in there (including git history like closed PRs and issues)
  • a Readme file with info like what does the project do, where to ask questions (matrix/irc? mailing list?), and whether you're accepting contributions
  • if you're accepting contributions, a contribution guide (at least the basic process: how to file issues, PRs, request reviews, etc.)
  • a roadmap is nice to have
  • link to the Ansible community code of conduct - https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/community/code_of_conduct.html
