Interest of defining structures

Just a newbie question: I see you define base structures in this Github repository. But when they are used, for instance in sample4.js:
structure: "3-9 (12/6-6)",'),
the 'styleClass' seems to be redefined for each added widget. What is thus the point of having previously defined a structure?

The point is that you can change your structure at any time. So you are able to organize your widgets on the dashboard as you like.
