This happened after system restart:

No matter how and in what order I start/restart yabi and komorebic, I cannot fix this — any suggestions?

First time I saw this, can you try without Komorebi, so stop Komorebi and run Yasb, try to maximize any window/app and let me know. Also please try with default style and config.

Bear with me

I double checked that no komorebi/whkd in task manager, also yasb says “Komorebi offline”.

With default style and config it just stays behind (not visible) the window if it’s maximized, i. e. window still fills the entire screen.

Desktop icons are also not moved below the bar

I really can’t pinpoint what would be the cause: it worked before the computer reboot, and now it’s not. I even checked with only one display connected, nope still not.

What I did next (don’t remember the specific order):

  • started yasb as admin;
  • reconnected second portrait monitor;
  • switched it to landscape and back to portrait;
  • reloaded yasb

Now it works again. I guess it’s all somehow connected to the mixed display orientation bug at #43

Here are the trimmed logs, maybe they will help:

Yasb does not need admin access, anyway which OS is that? And you have Python version or Yasb installer?

After it worked, I closed it then reopened again — now it’s back to not working (bar under the window, and window taking all the screen it gets).

It’s latest non-beta in Win11 on AMD (i.e. x64, no ARM or what have you)

Edition Windows 11 Pro N
Version 23H2
OS build 22631.4249
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1041.0

yasb 1.2.3 via winget install --id AmN.yasb (I guess it’s an installer version)

Upgraded it again
