Change exe icon

Does anyone know how to change the icon of the exe? I've tried using Resource Hacker to change the icon, but it only shows the updated icon when I search for Altus in the start menu. Everywhere else, such as the pinned app on the taskbar, shows the original icon.

I've also tried creating a shortcut of the .exe and then changed the icon of the shortcut and pinned that to the taskbar. But when you launch the app, it still shows the original icon.

I just want to change the icon so that it looks like WhatsApp's icon. I have a lot of apps on the taskbar and sometimes at a quick glance, I can't find my "WhatsApp" and that's because I typically get used to seeing the WhatsApp icon and I look for that by default.
