Difference in motions between MMD and DanceXR #367
Comments
It's definitely better with 30-35 angle, initial pose is better and her arm doesn't clip through her head at 00:00:30 but it still isn't quite right as seen with the left model's hand being to close to the chest. It also doesn't always fix the issue with different models, this is the best I can get with Rin using Pose Arm angle I can do some adjustments with Actor->Motion Settings->Arm/Forearm Rotation, but it bends the arm or wrists in a weird way |
Thank you by the way for looking into these issues, I hope I am not spamming too much. |
No we appreciate your input very much! Every advice gets us closer to perfection. We'll definately look into the motion and model you attached. At this stage we suspect it might be the shoulder bone angles, will let you know if we figure it out. |
Updated the main post for version 2024.11. Part of the issues are solved, but there is still an issue with the arm being to close to the chest. |
Describe the bug
(Updated for 2024.11) Arms are better, but I still have a problem with the distance between the forarm and the chest. Custom Standard Pose helps to center arm on the chest (moving left and right), but it can get to close to the body and there isn't an option to move it away. Actor->Motion Settings->Forarm Rotation/Arm Rotation can move it, but as I show in the comments below it's broken and from what I understand it is no longer supported.
To Reproduce
White version, Black crashes on 2024.9 for some reason?) and Sour Rinmotion Ren
for Sour Rin.The most apparent differences are at 00:00:10-16 (animation time) when holding the hand close to the chin
and at around 00:00:32 when moving the arm above the head. Here's a clip from MMD (see 00:08 for comparison with screenshots):

Additionnal context
Expected behavior
The left model's right hand should't clip into her chest, or there should be a way to adjust it.
