Start Drop In Conversation via API

I read through this project's Wiki & public Alexa API documentation. Seems impossible to initiate a Drop In conversation between two Echos via an API call? Anyone found a way to do this?

Use-Case:

• "Alexa, start conversation with my wife!" -> Triggers HA script to finds which room she is in via ESPresense.
• API Initializes drop in conversation between my room and her room.
