Describe the bug
I was completely unable to exit recovery mode after running the software. The program failed to do it by itself, and rebooting would bring it back. I couldn't find a script that worked to fix this bug.

Just bricked my IPad Air 5th Generation doing the same thing, running Fedora Kionite (Universal Blue Aurora). Recovery options through both iTunes and the Apple Devices app failed, and online Apple support wasn't able to do anything either. Anyone have any luck with a way to fix it?

Unfortunately not... gave up in the end and factory reset my phone.

If I may ask, what was your method for factory resetting? I tried resetting through both ITunes and the Apple Devices App, and got an "unknown error" both times. At this point I think I need to go to a tech support store, but Im worried even they may not be able to help.

Plugged my phone into a macbook with finder, reset from there. Should (?) be the same for iTunes, but I'm unsure.
