What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. bootdisk formatted as BTRFS
2. sudo update-burg
3. /usr/local/sbin/burg-probe: error: cannot find a device for / (is /dev
mounted?).
4. GRUB happily stays where and as it is.....
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see Burg configured, instead I see:
/usr/local/sbin/burg-probe: error: cannot find a device for / (is /dev
mounted?).
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
BURG: current stable release
OS: Ubuntu Desktop 11.4 Natty Narwhal (last update this morning)
Please provide any additional information below.
I tried to install BURG in different scenarios.
* Laptop with Intel x64 CPU
* Desktop with AMD x64 CPU
Both two partitions (swap + \) formatted as BTRFS
* existing installs (all the way upgraded from jaunty)
* brand new installs (Lucid+Natty)
After reformatting as Ext4 I could install Burg2.
After reformatting as BTRFS, no go!
In all these scenarios I had no issues with GRUB!
My inkling is that burg-probe is causing the issue.
