Paste using WhatsAPP WEB in Firefox #427
Comments
It appears that the issue with WhatsApp may now be fixed. Note that Clippings doesn't actually use the clipboard when pasting text. Can you try again and confirm? |
I was never able to paste text from your Addon on WhatsApp WEB. |
WhatsApp is continuing to block direct pasting of content into chat messages in its web app. The workaround is to copy the content of the clipping from Clippings Manager and paste into the WhatsApp chat message using the right-click context menu or by pressing CTRL+V. Many websites and web apps are now blocking direct pasting of text. I am planning on improvements in an upcoming version of Clippings to make it easier to copy the content of a clipping to make the workaround a bit more convenient. |
I followed one of the recipes.
Worked well. |
It looks like the problem has been resolved. But I still can't paste directly using your Addon. |
Hello
I don't know anything about code programming so don't waste your time trying to explain to me because I'm ignorant in this matter. :-)
I should have reported this issue a long time ago.
I can never insert text into part of a URL into Firefox's URL field.
I regularly use the TMDb API and I need to insert my API Key at the end of the URL or API Request I intend to send.
Example:
https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/550?api_key=THE_KEY
And also I can never input text on WhatsApp WEB.
I was able to copy from notepad++.
Now on WhatsAPP WEB, yesterday, there was a greater restriction when in Firefox.
Does not accept text from almost anyone. Only text copied into itself.
It might be interesting for you to take a look at this link where it seems that the solution is on the way.

Thank you very much.
I use your invention daily. :-)
