OK, I'm taking it, please join me at https://github.com/baruchiro/WindowsLayoutSnapshot |
I added you as a collaborator on this project so you can edit the README.md with a link to your fork if you would like. Thanks! |
Hi @adamsmith , last night I thought about that... You know, taking a snapshot of my current windows, then, for example, reopen them after a restart. I don't know if it is possible. What do you think? |
Possible, if there is a heuristic matching previous windows to new windows. It would not always be correct. When I used to run Windows as my OS I rarely restarted my machine. Not sure about the typical pattern for other folks. |
Even if you don't restart your system, you still may save a snapshot of "Task A" windows, then move to "Task B", and then load saved "Home things" snapshot. |
Yes that's a good point. |
Hi my own fork is (kinda) active too, I wonder why it doesn't show up in that website. I did a few patches to make it work on Windows 10 (#4) and with taskbar on the left side of the screen (closing #5). |
My fork is not maintained, please note |
Oh sorry, I misunderstood the meaning of your "I'm taking it" then. :) |
Hi,
I see this project is not maintained for years.
But there are a lot of good forks, my suggestion is to select/create a new fork, and do all the changes from the other forks there.
Then create a community and so on.
