Pull Request awaiting approval for almost four months

Hey!

In April, I opened this PR: #1844

I was wondering if I am missing a step to get the PR approved. The changes made there are crucial for us to use the caching mechanism, as our project is large and caching all the files definitely needs longer than the standard timeout allows (even on potent hardware).

Could somebody advise?
