I'm trying to install Vanilla OS 2 on my laptop, but it keeps scrolling some random characters and numbers, which has been continuing for hours now. I checked my proxy server, and it's not downloading anything from the internet, so it's definitely not connection issues here.
It would make me feel better if the installer could give me a progress bar or tell me what is happening. The current situation is confusing, I have no idea how long this gonna take and whether something has gone wrong.

The scrolling is over. It stopped here 30 mins ago. I'm glad that I have another computer or I wouldn't be able to do anything else today. 😥 I don't know if this gonna through, I will give it 10 more hours. If it fails, then I will have to give up. The concepts Vanilla os selling are fascinating, but I have never installed a system slow like this. I wish it would be better in the future. 😴
The output should definitely be improved, yes.
The issue with the installer getting stuck if the connections to the Github servers is unreliable is tracked here: (The connection issue doesn't have to be on your end, in many countries, Github servers are generally unreliable) Vanilla-OS/vanilla-installer#418
