Less noise, more value per time

New YT channel with no streams or memes. Higher production quality long form videos. Will add shorts later but less casual and more focused, ready to implement tone

Also, and A/B test on new channel

squareone seems taken but keep the idea. foo-one or foo-zero (one with zero index)
or foo-soft (emphasizing technical + soft skills + corporate/professional general career acceleration)

maybe something around knowledge or cloud or balance (WLB concept) or social or community...

optimize for

  1. available domain (ideally .com)
  2. dictation (LLMs be messing up ladderly and aria)
  3. professional tone

another concept: "Channel Two"

the idea is aligned with curation, a foundational element at ladderly

Channel Two enables self-curation; so a creator has a "brain dump flow" and a curated / pristine channel as an optional second step to raise the quality bar

everything about channel two is built to observe channel one, extract top performing themes + identify areas of high-value investment ROI and improvement and gaps relative to a creator charter. It's an AI-based platform where the creator charter is a key AI instrument. It's also a social media management and community growth and marketing platform.

It's an evolution of RYG basically. RYG is deflated on channel one because it's a brute force strategy, so you make some content and you're going to post it even if it's yellow and reds you can build intuition for without a tool. RYG is more aligned to the channel two concept instead of the channel one concept, because channel two is about "my personal cream of the crop content." Yellow items get purged from channel 1 but not channel 2. this two-tier strategy enables wide social reach, easy onboarding, and quality scaling once the creator is ready without large up front friction

it's totally aligned to kahneman's thinking fast and slow

other names for this approach: dogfood-tech, reflect-tech, mirror-tech, etp (extract, transform, and post)...lots of naming possibilities with this mental model

also a good opportunity for a totally distinct repository and project. ladderly doesn't want or need to be integrated to all the social media platforms, but channel two does.

every piece of content can have:

  1. ai_summary
  2. admin_summary
  3. related_content_ids: list[ids]
  4. tags

these properties allow cluster analysis

tags can include themes like "HTML" or "humor" or "soft skills" as well as platform tags like "x" or "youtube" as well as content type tags like "livestream" or "short form" or "text post" and so on.

then we get powerful queries in addition to generated insights. sample queries:

  1. what tags perform better regardless of platform and content type?
  2. what tags perform particularly well for youtube long form video?
  3. given an arbitrary tag collection (say, "Web-Related" which includes html, css, javascript, react, and typescript), how does this perform per platform in terms of views? propensity to engage? propensity to subscribe?

MVP is just two channel support: YouTube for sure. LinkedIn, X, and TikTok are all contenders for channel 2 imo
