The current form in the fonts:

Though the current glyph is also correct, but it's very rare.
It commonly written as a ligature or with half-from of sa + regular form of tra.
In the books an fonts, where the ligature is found it is commonly written as

Else with a half form as in most of the normal Devanagari fonts

An example for current glyph.

Based on your design, In Hindi and Marathi fonts, either the ligature or the glyph with half form of SA can be chosen.

I think we will keep the current form for the Hindi and Marathi font: it follows our typical shaping of –T following a half form, ensuring that the half form actually has a shape to connect to in a pleasing way, rather than a gap or an ugly connection.

I would consider the form you suggest for the Sanskrit font, but wonder whether any similar revisions would apply to other ST– conjuncts, including STRYa.

New forms for the Sanskrit font, to be implemented in next update.

I considered retaining the previous forms will be retained as stylistc variants, but decided not to, since the corresponding /dTRa and /dTRYa variant forms are only used contextually if proceeded by a half form, and not expected to occur in Sanskrit language texts.

Need to check with other TR conjuncts for consistency and similar revisions.
for क्त्र, no change is needed.
Will create a separate issue for न्त्र, न्त्र्य
