Download and extract the archive to the directory, where PPSSPP executable is located.

Try asking in ppsspp's discord, I never used Linux version, so I don't know.

I uninstalled and reinstalled ppsspp and placed just the PLUGINS folder in the directory I initially mentioned again and some of the mods seem to be working. Fast loading, 60fps, and holding down B to move the camera was removed. But I had to go into the controller mapping setting in ppsspp to configure the right analog so that works now thank god. But now the screen is too wide from the main menu onwards.

What's the fix for the screen?

The game screen is wider than the ppsspp aspect ratio. It stretches out horizontally causing the edges of the game to be cut off. The ultra-wide support is in fact too wide. Can this be adjusted or fixed in the .ini files?

Can you show a screen of the display settings, the one where "stretch" check is(settings -> display layout and effects)? Looks fine on my end.

Maybe try unchecking stretch? Since you're using lower than 16:9 resolution, it shouldn't fill the whole screen anyway.
Additionally, you can try using that resize button on the bottom.

You need to reset emulation after changing these options for plugin to readjust.

I'm able to reproduce this, unchecking stretch indeed should fix it.

Haven't played Essentials in over a decade so I was hyped to see there was a working mod for the right analog stick. Thank you for your work!

Sooo... how do I install this to the point where it works? :/
The mod says to put it in "the place where PPSSPP put its executable" but that's just wrong, because that does nothing
So I looked up where the supposed "memstick" folder should be, and that's supposedly the Documents
So I put in Documents/PPSSPP
Now the game runs at 60FPS and doesn't have an intro (two things I don't really care for) but the right stick still doesn't work for camera control (the one thing that I actually was excited for)

I'm at a loss honestly, so I hope you can put me in the right direction :/

You need to assign right stick in controls. Or make it show as on-screen touch control.

And how do I do that? There's no option for reassigning controls in the game and in the control menu of PPSSPP I can only get one direction for the O button.

Could you maybe make a small writeup of which steps I specifically have to follow? I'm sure this is incredibly easy for you but for someone who's never opened PPSSPP before, this pretty much just doesn't help in any way :/
