Optimize startup time #3874

Apps with a lot of widgets can be slow to start. Like textual colors.

I have done some work on optimizing startup which as been quite successful, but I think there may be more wins there.

Its worth a fresh pair of eyes on this. But please don't spend more than a day on this. Please document any findings and/or resulting PRs here.

I've done some work on this, and made a bunch of improvements. I doubt there are any significant wins left, although I'm often wrong when I say stuff like that. Closing for now, but if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to reopen this ticket.
