It's been quite a while now, it's really not looking great there's still no support for Apple Silicon chips other than an ugly workaround suggested in the README.

I don't understand how a commercial company providing software SDKs to integrate their services are able to not care about the developer experience. Apple Silicon chips were released in 2020, yet there's still no support. Laughable.
