Combinatorial libraries or sets of variants are frequently used in synthetic biology engineering. Is there a good way to diagram something like this?

Thought about this a bit in SBOLDesigner's implementation of combinatorial design. Showing overlapping glyphs I think might look good, but we went with a simpler approach of adding a "decoration", essentially an inverted carot symbol.

Do you have some nice example diagrams that you could share?

Actually forgot. Decoration is a little grid. This has variant promoter and CDS, with unspecified terminator and assigned RBS. Also, note grid button on tool bar which generates variants.

I'm removing this from a specific milestone for now, since the 1) "decorations" of SBOL Designer don't seem to have gotten traction, 2) no other alternative has yet been proposed, and 3) this doesn't seem to be a pressing issue for anybody at the moment.

Thus, I propose to let it drift for a while more while we wait for either examples, concerns, or ideas to come to a good place to drive it forward.
