Appendix B of the spec says "This section contains prototypical examples, including use of all current glyphs to attempt to ensure that their use is clear." [my emphasis]

However, a few glyphs seem to be missing:

  • Engineered region

  • 3'/5' overhang

  • spcific recombination site

  • double-standed nucleic acid [a Molecular Species glyph]

I think you have overlooked some:

  • 3' and 5' overhang are used in Example 2 / Figure 28.
  • Engineered Region is used in Example 8 / Figure 34
  • Specific recombination site is used in Example 11 / Figure 37

dsNA molecular species is indeed missing, however.

You are right - I missed these three examples when skimming the figures.
