Elliot,
Phasors paper linked via my old pages is available directly from Rice at

Most things I've been able to fix by pointing to the Wayback Machine. A
couple things that I need to delegate:
- S3D traces (
https://legion.stanford.edu/s3dtraces/dme_all_2nodes.tar.gz and so on)
appear to be dead. Changing the link to sapling does not fix the issue;
likely the files are gone. If we really care about this, we'll probably
need to regenerate the files, but I suspect we don't actually care that
much. @lightsighter <https://github.com/lightsighter> to decide what
to do about this.
- A few Weft links are dead (
http://stanford.edu/~sharmar/cde-weft.tar.gz and
http://www.pgbovine.net/cde/manual/, etc.). Need @lightsighter
<https://github.com/lightsighter> to tell me what to do about this.
- One link that seems to go through one of @PHHargrove
<https://github.com/PHHargrove> 's pages. I think this is supposed to
be the phasers paper. Not sure what to do about this:
https://upc-bugs.lbl.gov/~phargrov/sc12/PGAS-SC12/content/habanero/habanero/CS_RIC/_VS3/PDF/SPSS08_P.PDF
Then there's some junk that probably doesn't matter, like the favicons.

Thanks, got that one. |
I think the files are gone. They were also generated by a version of the runtime that no longer really exists anymore so they wouldn't be representative of what the event graph would look like today. Let's just delete the text around those traces.
Let's just get rid of the Weft links. They aren't really related to Legion anyway. Weft is linked in the appropriate places on my personal webpage for those that are interested. |
Ok, I think these should all be fixed now except a small number of remaining items: I'm told the ASC link will be back at some point, it seems some sort of a migration is underway. Favicons and so on: we'll have an actual logo at some point, so I'll defer this until then. Let me know if there is anything else. |
Here's a fresh scan from just now Re: Ignoring missing favicons; one of the main reasons to fix broken links is they can negatively impact your page's score on search engines. So even though human users might never notice these broken links, you should probably still remove these broken links (or replace them with a placeholder) if possible. The linkedin failure appears to be a false negative from their server setup. The DOE link appears to be genuinely broken. You probably want something like this instead: |
Note that's ASC (part of NNSA) not ASCR (part of SC). The top link on Google right now goes to LANL, but the "Headquarters" link from there goes to http://nnsa.energy.gov/asc. I've been told this will probably get fixed.... Favicons are part of the theme so it takes more work to rip them out, unfortunately. We'll get a real logo and I'll do it then. |
@elliottslaughter I ran an automated link check on legion.stanford.edu and found 35 broken links on the website.
The full report is here
