Meeting Minutes

StackStorm v3.9 release

StackStorm v3.9dev is available in the form of Linux distribution packs and Docker images for RHEL8, RHEL9, Ubuntu 20.04 and Ubuntu 22.04. There is still work to be done for packs, puppet, ansible and documentation before v3.9 is ready for release however, we can request users start to test v3.9 in their environments. An announcement via social media LinkedIn and X requesting early adopters to try out v3.9dev, especially using Python 3.9 and Python 3.10 to detect any potential significant regressions.

Pack testing

The CI has been re-enabled for regular build/test. >50 packs have been reported as failing when run against python 3.8, 3.9 and 3.10. There are too many packs to fix ourselves. So to avoid blocking the St2 v3.9 release, we will pick the top 20 most cloned packs and fix them. This will be a milestone for v3.9 release readiness.

Issue tracking failing packs StackStorm-Exchange/ci#153

Eventlet Retirement

No progress on the subject.

Pants

  • CI is now running integration tests with pants+pytest
  • next step: get CI to run self-check with a pants venv (I have this stubbed out locally) and possibly run self-check via pants.
