On a working operating system, download the zip file for SoftProjector (same version the non-working operating system had) and extract it.

Connect the old drive to the working operating system. Copy SoftProjector's database from the old drive to the folder you extracted, next to SoftProjector.exe. The old database should be in
OLD_DRIVE:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\SoftProjector\spData.sqlite

Open SoftProjector.exe in the folder you extracted. It should show all the data in the old database. In the toolbar, go to Edit > Manage Database, and you'll be able to select and export the songbooks you need.
