Bearing from the next route point to the one after

In my app I show the true wind angle the boat will sail from the next route point to the one after next one.

The use case is for the race boat to know what kind of the rounding to do on the windward mark. If the the top mark is rounded to starboard and the next mark is on port reach, hen the gybe set is required, otherwise it's a regular bear away set.

Here is the question.

• Does the bearing from the next mark to the one after warrant it's own path
• Or maybe the route should include the bearings (and distance between marks)
• Or maybe each app who needs this info should just compute it internally for the active routre.

Any guidance?
