Simple Summary

Professional challenges for whitelisted athletes

Abstract

Sponsorships for high profile athletes. The idea is professional athletes bring more value to the project. Specifically they provide skill, leadership, and viewers. We should curate a whitelist of athlete Ethereum Addresses/ENS names that earn more score for posting challenges. This can be presented as the first type of Shenanigan Sponsorhips for athletes.

Motivation

As we launch Challenge primitives in the upcoming months, there will be higher profile athletes joining the DAO, posting content, interacting with our community, watching, enjoying, shilling. These athletes have already shown success in the web2 sphere. Professional athletes posting content greatly benefits the project. More score should be allocated to a whitelist of professional athletes joining the space.

This gives two main benefits:

  • Encourages athletes to join the web3/DAO space
  • Better aligns the current athletic hierarchy with our DAO

Specification

Whitelist

Curate a whitelist of professional athlete Ethereum addresses for the scoreboard

Professional Challenge Initiatives

Whenever a professional athlete posts a challenge, an initiative should be made to assign the athlete extra Score

Minimum Viable Contribution:

  • Athlete post youtube videos/twitch stream links in the #challenge-feed channel

Score

  • 4 Score per challenge

Rationale

Encouraging athletes to post their work in the SHE Discord is the primary goal. They are ALREADY doing the work, they can just get Score on top of what they already do.

This is an emphasis on quantity over quality. Professional athletes are assumed to put out quality, so we should not heavily police the challenges posted. The #challenge feed is to serve as a place to collect challenges, not curate. and therefore it should act the same for pros

Backwards Compatibility

To be determined

Implementation

The onus is on the DAO to wrangle professional athletes into the DAO

Just because they post in the challenge feed does it mean that their community is engaging with ours though ? Even though they may be talking about SHE in the video, the bulk of it will be them completing or doing something which more people will pay attention to. just like when u see the sponsorship part on normal youtube videos most people skip it so will it be getting the engagement that we want ?
