Ableton Live Lite 11 - VST Install in OS X #494
-
I'm trying to install the Ctrlr VST version in Mac OS X. I've got the v5.3.198 .dmg file, I've copied the ctrl.vst into the default VST folder /Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST/ But when I fire up Ableton Live Lite 11 I cannot get it to recognise the ctrlr.vst as a Plugin? The system stopped it with Vendor not recognised, etc..but I just did the usual of going into Settings - Security & Privacy and telling it to 'Run Anyway'! Has anyone got the VST working in Ableton Live Lite? I must be doing something daft as I see no mention of anyone else having issues! |

OK, I'll answer myself, despite the fact that Ableton's online help says that /Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST/ is the default folder it doesn't pickup anything in there. You need to check the 'Custom' Folder option in Live - Preferences and then Browse to that Folder and now it's picked up the Ctrlr.vst !!! |
