  • Budgets - Variance management and Reporting

  • Q3 TEC report due 30th April 2007

  • Budget splits for additional 6 months - Aug 2007 through Feb 2008. The following is proposed:

  • Administrative/Management budgets to continue as defined

  • Programmer budgets to continue as defined for Anton, Vladimir, Andrey

Progress Reports

Massey

  • Cluster board meeting on Tuesday for go ahead

  • delivery end of June / early July

  • Anton - cheat sheet to setup middleware, moving ahead rapidly

  • NG2 gateway machine should be finished in a couple of weeks

  • Massey applied to the KAREN travel fund

  • Summer School on e-Science and Grid Computing in Feb 2008

  • 4 day summer school workshop for grads and post grads

  • AK and WLG campuses, connected through Access Grid

**Canterbury **

  • Job submission gateway + infrastructure that consumes this
  • NG gateway + simulation cluster
  • working on integrating with IBM P575
  • Integrated with Grid Ops Centre at APAC for accounting, job submission
  • suggest use this for the KAREN demonstration
  • won't complete integration of HPC until July
  • Vladimir on holiday for next month
  • Paul Bonnington congratulated Vladimir on his work
  • Data store attached to HPC and working well

**Auckland **

  • Branding (Wiki, VRE, IAM)

  • July Forum BeSTGRID Demonstrations (BioEngineering SRB, VRE, EVO, APACGRID)

  • July Forum Travel Scholarships from Auckland - have put aside $1000 to cover institutional attendance registration fee ($100 per person). Propose this as a good model to support other institutional participation.

  • eResearch Australasia, Oct APAC All-hands meetings

  • Propose that BeSTGRID travels funds are used to send as many people as possible

  • HDV, Superchaged Portable Nodes

  • Streaming in Larry Smar live from San Diego using HDV over KAREN (initial plenary talk, Tuesday morning)
