In the latest version of the app (0.99.4), the nsec is automatically masked with circle bullets if you have copied the nsec to your clipboard before reaching the sign in screen. The nsec is displayed in plain text if you manually paste yours, if you use the "Paste Your Key" button, or tap on the text box while it is masked.
Suggestion
I would like to see a more manual control over when the nsec is displayed. Ideally, the user could engage with a manual control toggle that would allow them to reveal the nsec in plain text instead of the current method used by the app.
Motivation
Implementing this feature would enhance user experience and improve security confidence. Providing manual control over when the nsec is displayed shows that the app values private key management. By allowing users to manually decide when their nsec is shown, they can feel more secure in using the app, as they have greater control over their private key.
This is related to my previous feature request. The issue is now closed. #38
