Issue with Rewind and Fast-Forward on Long Press of Track Buttons on Android #527
Comments
All my settings are set to default. |
By default, the previous track button should skip to the previous episode, and the next track button should skip to the next episode. You can go to the app Settings > Media player > 'Bluetooth/headset key mapping' to remap the key action to fast rewind or fast forward. |
Other audio players skip to the next or previous track when the 'Next Track' or 'Previous Track' button is pressed. However, with a long press on these buttons, they fast forward or rewind. I want the fast forwarding or rewinding to occur specifically during a long press on these buttons. |
If inside the app, we already have separated/dedicated buttons for those actions. IMHO, it's easier to use the dedicated buttons instead of the long pressing gesture. If it's a remote device such as a Bluetooth headset then typically the long pressing gesture is only available for the Play/Pause button. |
I have an Android device with dedicated buttons for previous track, play/pause, and next track. When I'm playing podcasts and long press the previous or next track buttons, they skip to the next or previous episode instead of rewinding or fast-forwarding. Can this be fixed?
