Selecting any other map style than default Mapnik results in no map loading

Apologies in advance if it's a basic permission issue, I'm just starting with Piwigo and plugins.
I installed Piwigo 14.4.0 and OpenStreetMap plugin 14.c. If that matters I'm using Siteground shared hosting solution so I'm missing root permissions.

When I leave the Map style setting on the first dropdown value, OpenStreetMap Mapnik, the map loads where it should on the pages.

However selecting any other option from this dropdown breaks the map itself, as in the frame loads with the pin but there is no map loaded.

This is the same frame, same page refreshed after changing the map style to "Stamen Toner"

I don't know if it is related but I get the entire map frame not displaying if I try to set a custom pin, regardless of the map style. As in the frame is there with all the map info and takes the expected space on the page but nothing is displayed.
