I did reproduce this the last time I've tested it, but I have reinstalled my OS since then. I will try to test again |
When you test, please also check if it is related to PoL or if you experience the same issue with plain Wine. |
What do you mean by plain Wine? The one directly downloaded from the Wine homepage? |
Or the Wine provided by your Linux distribution. I would like to know if it's caused by PoL/the runtime. |
I am getting the same issue. It just started recently. I am on mac running PlayOnMac... I feel like it may have started after a mac update. Also I just reinstalled steam and I was able to log in the first 2 times but now it is back to this. I am able to start steam by disabling my internet connection then starting in offline mode otherwise I get the following

I also just found this ( https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/864975632677203907/ ) which actually worked so I was able to log in. "Try using the -tcp and -clearbeta to the steam.exe as the article suggests." Although it seems that the important part is the -tcp option. It seems to be having a problem with udp. |
I'm currently trying to install a game via Steam. The installation of Steam works fine, but afterwards after I login and Steam tells me it is configuring my user environment the Steam windows closes (crashes?) and doesn't appear again.
